Jessica Vickery, O.D.
Dr. Jessica Vickery brings to our practice some much welcomed southern charm. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Dr. Vickery was also awarded the Department of Biology Student of the Year and the College of Arts and Sciences Student of the Year Awards. She has contributed to research in STEM programs and published her work in Modern Optometry. Her optometric education was completed at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she graduated with honors. She was also awarded Clinical Excellence in Gas Permeable Contact Lenses.
Dr. Vickery also expanded her training in ocular disease while serving our veterans at the Greenville Veterans Affairs Health Care Center in Greenville, NC. She profoundly respects all veterans and is enriched after her year of training with the Army ROTC at Campbell University. At Piedmont Eye Care Associates in Charlotte, NC, her training focused on managing Dry Eye Disease. She is dedicated to treating patients with dry eye disease of varying complexities, including Sjogren’s syndrome.
Dr. Vickery is passionate about helping her patients become successful contact lens wearers. She completed a residency at Mid-Atlantic Cornea Consultants, where she trained in specialty contact lenses with a concentration in managing corneal diseases. Upon completion, she earned the Bernard Blaustein Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Vickery has contributed to published materials and a podcast on topics educating about various ocular diseases.
