George M. Thurmond, O.D.

Dr. George M. Thurmond, O.D., a proud North Carolina native, is dedicated to serving the Commonwealth of Virginia as an optometrist. He graduated from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry, where he gained expertise in eye care and became fluent in Spanish. Dr. Thurmond is particularly passionate about serving the Latino and Hispanic communities.

He practices comprehensive optometry with a focus on managing systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and various autoimmune disorders.

Beyond his work, Dr. Thurmond enjoys physical fitness, personal training, and spending quality time with his family. Most importantly, his faith in Jesus Christ is central to his life, and he gives all glory to Him for the blessings he has received.
